Julie works across Scarlatti’s people and behaviour research and monitoring and evaluation projects. She helps clients move from complex feedback, diverse perspectives and imperfect evidence to clear, practical insight. Her projects often explore what people are experiencing, what is shaping their behaviour, and what this means for strategy, design, engagement or investment decisions.
Julie specialises in leading projects from scoping and design through to analysis, synthesis and reporting. She works closely with our clients to clarify objectives, develop fit-for-purpose evaluation and research plans, and ensure projects are delivered effectively within the context, constraints and decision needs of each one.
Julie’s work includes stakeholder and community research, behaviour research, evaluation, concept testing, co-design and engagement, and qualitative and mixed-methods research. She uses interviews, focus groups, interactive workshops, surveys and stakeholder engagement to capture the right breadth and depth of insight for each project.
Her strength is in bringing together qualitative and quantitative evidence to build coherent, well-evidenced narratives. She uses rigorous analysis approaches to identify patterns, tensions and insights across diverse stakeholder perspectives. Julie translates complex evidence into practical findings, implications and recommendations tailored to different audiences.
Julie holds a Bachelor in Commerce from NEOMA Business School in France, an Honours Bachelor in Commerce from the University of Ottawa in Canada, and a Master of Tourism Management, First Class Honours, from Victoria University of Wellington.
