Agricultural extension: Change that takes root

Build the skills and confidence to design and deliver extension that leads to uptake

Our training is grounded in good extension practice across New Zealand and Australia. Sessions are practical and designed for to help participants apply tools and frameworks to their own extension activities.

Who this training is for

Our extension training is designed for people and teams working in agricultural, environmental, research, industry or community contexts where an understanding of behaviour change would help move beyond providing information to supporting change in complex situations. It is useful if you want to:

  • Build a shared understanding of what good extension looks like.
  • Design and deliver more effective extension programmes.
  • Improve uptake of new practices, tools, technologies or products.
  • Move from one-off activities to a clearer pathway for change.
  • Strengthen facilitation, engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Build trust, rapport and stronger connections with farmers.

Build a pathway that fits

Choose a single workshop, combine several topics into a tailored programme, or work with us to design a learning pathway for you or your extension team. Training can be delivered online, in person or as a blended programme, with tools, templates, coaching or follow-up support where useful.
