Our experience and strengths

Scarlatti specialises in extension and training with a strong focus on evaluation. Our extension team is led by an award-winning extension specialist with over 25 years’ experience.

Extension is the process of supporting change by sharing knowledge, technology, and innovation. In New Zealand and Australia extension is most often associated with agriculture and aims to improve farming systems.

It involves understanding on-farm problems and co-developing solutions and support with farmers. Extension practitioners work with and for farmers, researchers, rural businesses such as farm advisors, fertiliser and chemical resellers, industry organisations as well as policy and regulators.
