Workforce capability analysis
Scarlatti has developed workforce models for a range of clients. Our Industry Characterisation of Workforce Model (Inchworm) is the basis for many of our projects and offers insights unmatched by other workforce modelling approaches. Our work help industry organisations, training providers and governments to understand the demand for people and the demand for training, in order to deliver on industry strategies. Examples of our work in this area include modelling projects for DairyNZ, the Primary ITO, the Building and Construction ITO, Alliance, the Primary Sector Group and the Ministry of Primary Industries.

Financial modelling and investor presentations
Scarlatti develops detailed forward-looking financial models of companies’ projects or ventures. These are usually prepared in order to inform investors, or potential investors, about the attractiveness of particular ventures although the work we do has as much value for management teams. Our models typically include detailed profitability and cashflow projections and company/project valuations. A point of difference is our extensive use of sensitivity analyses to test the impact of key assumptions and inputs to the model, and benchmarking to validate these inputs. Clients that we have prepared models for include Genavia Therapeutics, Lanzafuels, Lanzatech, Nu Fruits, Riolife and Photonz.

Development and maintenance of tools
Scarlatti develops and maintains a variety of models and databases for clients to help them manage their operations. Typically, these tools are created in Excel which allows us to create low cost, flexible tools that can be maintained by our clients. That said, many of our tools are much more complex and detailed than typical spreadsheets. Examples of our work in this area include investment trackers maintained by the ICEHOUSE, a dashboard tool for the Farmer Wellness and Wellbeing programme and operation planning tools used by McDonalds Lime.
